- Lead on commercial activities in the procurement of high-risk/high-value contracts within the assigned business area – from end-to-end market engagement, supplier due diligence, tender, contract negotiation, and award
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best prices and terms of purchase
- Manage the purchasing process and ensure that all purchases comply with company policy
- Develop and maintain a database of preferred suppliers and vendors
- Develop and implement the procedures and systems to ensure cost-effectively
- Monitor and review all purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and forecasts to anticipate future needs for materials and services
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and priorities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Mining/Plantation/Construction industry
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and supplier management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of market trends and supply chain dynamics
- Willingness to travel as needed for supplier meetings and industry events
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
